American Football is not afraid to follow the Peter Gabriel track. Gabriel released all of his first solo albums under his own name. It was up to fans to come up with the different titles for each, really. The same has happened with Illinois' emo giants American Football.
After making one great album in 1999, the band broke up, only to emerge again in 2014. Since then, the group has delivered three more records, though none truly compares to the greatness of the debut. No matter, the overall sound is solid, and they also put on a great show.
The good part is that you can go see American Football starting later in June in Europe, and then in North America near the beginning of July. American Football even takes a detour through Asia in July before returning to play a bunch of North American dates at the beginning of August. They might be exhausted by then.
American Football add a bunch of 2026 tour dates to already massive tour
Most of their shows were previously announced, but they have added 12 more dates that pick up in September. If you want to go see them (and you should), tickets for the new shows go on sale on American Football's official website on Thursday, June 4, at 10 am local time.
For each ticket sold, $1 goes to Plus1, which then funnels the money to organizations that help protect immigrant rights and support deportees, migrants, and refugees.
