It might feel as if Amyl and the Sniffers are just beginning to crest the wave into true rock stardom. The Australians, who formed in 2016, have produced a couple of EPs and three studio LPs. Each has been a bit better than before, and their most recent, 2024's Cartoon Darkness, is not to be missed.
The Grammys thankfully haven't. The Aussies have been given a nod in the Best Rock Performance for 2026 for their single, "U Should Not Be Doing That." The song encapsulates everything the band is: Fun, raw, a blend of punk and garage rock, and fantastically great.
Fans in North America and Europe will also have a chance to see the group in 2026, too. Before that (and if you haven't yet got a ticket, it may be too late), Amyl and the Sniffers are opening for AC/DC in Australia for three December dates. That would definitely be worth booking a flight for.

Beginning next summer, the group will begin a run of North American shows before trekking to Europe beginning in August. Pre-sale tickets start being available on Tuesday, December 9, at 10 am local time, with general public tickets going on sale on Friday, December 12, at 10 am local time.
