BABYMETAL fans only have three months to prepare for this

The when and where you should be.

To be sure, BABYMETAL should not still be together. In fact, the band should not be producing the quality albums they are. The band was a gimmick, born of Japanese idol genres and heavy metal, that might have had a good run of a couple of albums. That was five albums ago.

Moreover, the group's last album, 2025's METAL FORTH, was excellent. Any metal group where the three main vocalists are listed as "vocal and dance" for one, and "scream and dance" for the other two, has to be somewhat intriguing, right?

Again, none of this should work for a long period of time, which is part of the magic of BABYMETAL. Their sound is too polished, too well-produced, and yet has enough angst, much of which seems genuine, to allow the music to have integrity.

BABYMETAL's North American tour kicks off in late August

Other musicians don't mind working with them, either. Some of the artists who collaborated on the band's most recent album include Poppy, Tom Morello, and Alex Terrible of Slaughter to Prevail. Sure, these musicians get paid to work with BABYMETAL, but they wouldn't if they thought they would be criticized for working with a gimmicky group.

In other words, if you want to go to a show and be entertained, you should run to one of BABYMETAL's concerts beginning in late August. Tickets, what is left of them, can be found on the band's official website.
