Beth Orton is back again, and doesn't that make life better? Your favorite folktronica artists tend to take a few years between dropping new albums, but at least once fans get the new releases, they are always worth the wait.
Her most recent release was 2022's Weather Alive, which was extremely well-reviewed. Her new record will be called The Ground Above, and she has released two singles from the record. The title track was released in March, and more recently, Orton dropped "Waiting."
The album will be released on June 26 by Partisan, and the record will be backed by a new tour that will begin in mid-September in North America and then transition to the UK for a short run in Mid-October.

The album will be in halves. The second half will feature lusher melodies, while the first half will be more "fragmented," according to Orton's website.
