The Super Bowl has evolved over 60 years into not only the biggest football game on the planet, but one of the biggest media events, too. If the NFL can squeeze out every potential angle of having non-sports people be involved, it will. This goes well beyond the music played before and during the show.
Recently, as the teams run onto the field at the beginning of the game, they have been introduced by a celebrity. This year will be no different, and the person introducing the New England Patriots will be New Jersey native and rock icon, Jon Bon Jovi.
Bon Jovi's involvement is not much of a stretch. He has been an unabashed Pats fan for decades. He might be from another state, but honestly, why root for the two teams that play in Jersey, the New York Giants and New York Jets, when one can pull for the six-time Super Bowl-winning Patriots? Many would do that.

A non-musical artist will be introducing the other team, the Seattle Seahawks. That person will be actor Chris Pratt. Pratt comes from his fandom a bit more logically, as while he was born in Minnesota, he spent his formative and high school years in Lake Stevens, Washington, not far from Seattle.
The good part for football fans is that both Jon Bon Jovi and Chris Pratt should be energetic and loud representatives for their favorite teams. Neither should strain to be heard in a loud Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, home of this year's Super Bowl. In other words, it should be fun.
As far as the rest of the musical acts involved in the game, the national anthem will be sung by pop star Charlie Puth, "Lift Every Voice and Sing" will be performed by Coco Jones, and "America the Beautiful" will be delivered by Brandi Carlile. A pregame concert will feature Bay Area legends Green Day.
The best part, however, should be the halftime show with Bad Bunny. The most-streamed musical artist on Earth in 2025 isn't just accidentally popular; he is worthy of all his listens. He was also the 2026 Grammy Awards winner for Album of the Year.
So forget that silly side halftime show that some conservative group is putting on. Their bigotry shouldn't be rewarded with views. Bad Bunny is going to be terrific live. So will Jon Bon Jovi when he is busy introducing the New England Patriots.
