Are you ready for a full-on Brandon Flowers country album? That might be what fans of the Killers' frontman are about to get. But let's hope everyone loves the record because, besides the announcement of the new album drop, Flowers will also be touring soon.

The new album will be thinly veiled songs of Flowers growing up in Utah, and being introduced to his father's music, which featured the country and western stylings of Waylon Jennings and others. Thrasher will be released via Island Records on August 21.

The record was recorded, fittingly, in Nashville, and the instrumentalists involved might also foretell what fans should expect. David Rawlings will be the guitarist, as well as Bruce Bouton on pedal steel. Charlie McCoy, a harmonica player who has worked with Bob Dylan, will also play a part.

  • "Paradise"
  • "Miss America"
