Taylor Swift is a massively popular entertainer who is bigger than the NFL. That isn't meant as any disrespect to the United States American football league. The sport is well-watched in some parts of the world. Swift, though, is well-loved in all parts of the globe.
Of course, most people know that Swift's fiancée is Travis Kelce, who plays tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs. One of KC's biggest rivals is the Denver Broncos. Both teams play in the AFC West. In Week 11, Denver defeated Kansas City 22-19.
After the game, Denver rookie cornerback Jahdae Barron was so excited about the win that he attempted to tie Taylor Swift into some shade he tried on Instagram. Barron posted a photo of himself covering Kelce with the ball near the tight end's feet. One might assume that the pass was targeted for Kelce and fell incomplete.
Broncos rookie Jahdae Barron risks the wrath of Taylor Swift fans everywhere
Barron being overjoyed by the victory is fine. His trying to gain his 15 minutes of fame by dropping Swift's name in the post isn't. The rookie captioned the photo, "Tell Swift put me on a song. RIGHT NOW."
A few things to unpack here. First, people can assume that Barron means that he would like Swift to name-drop him during a lyrical run. If that is the case, Barron should have written "put me in a song," not "on" one. So, maybe his intelligence should be in question.
Secondly, the all-caps of the final part is far too arrogant. Surely, Jahdae Barron doesn't believe Taylor Swift will do what he says. That would be, well...we already have enough evidence to question Barron's IQ.
Lastly, and this part goes out to young Jahdae Barron, if you are going to boastfully post, at least completely own it. Instead, Barron deleted the post, seemingly unaware that someone somewhere is almost certainly going to have taken a photo of the post and send that out to the world. Like the case below:

Travis Kelce is a future Pro Football Hall of Famer. Taylor Swift is the most popular entertainer in the world. Jahdae Barron is a rookie for the Denver Broncos who hasn't yet achieved enough awareness of what to post on social media. Barron needs to grow up.
