The Corona Capital festival in Mexico City has delivered some magical moments over its 16-year run. Headliners have included Paul McCartney, Foo Fighters, the Cure, and Nine Inch Nails, among other fantastic artists. 2026's edition will be no different.
This week, event organizers announced that this year's headliners include the Strokes, Gorillaz, and the band with possibly the worst name ever, yet still found a path to popularity, Twenty One Pilots. The entire list of bands is just past 70, so if you like a certain kind of rock, you most likely have some artists playing that you love.
Manic Street Preachers, for instance, will be playing in Latin America for the first time since they delivered brilliance in Havana, Cuba, in 2001. The band is not to be missed live, but only adds weight to how great the festival is.
Corona Capital festival announces lineup and dates for 2026 edition
The same can be said of the 2026 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominees, the Black Crowes. The Robinson brothers and friends didn't get inducted this year, but are worthy of being so. More importantly, in terms of Mexico City, the Crowes are elite live.
The 2026 version of the Corona Capital festival will take place from November 20-22 at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. As the name implies, it is a motorsport race track, so the setting is inside the venue, but open-air.
According to Billboard, promoters are expecting 240,000 attendees over three days. In other words, plan ahead for when to get water and pace yourself for the bathroom.

Citibanamex pre-sale tickets will be made available on Tuesday, May 26, with general public sales to follow on May 27. Tickets aren't overly expensive, relatively speaking, for a festival of the importance of the one in Mexico City. Single-day general admission passes are around $100, with three-day passes going for $160-300.
That's still a chunk of change, of course, but one might spend much more at other well-known festivals. To purchase tickets, one can visit any number of certified retailers like Ticketmaster and StubHub, but for more information, check out the Corona Capital festival's official website.
