We will have a start-to-finish winner in the 2025 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame fan ballot. Phish has not only led, but Phishheads have made their mark on who they believe should be inducted. Maybe fans of the band should get inducted as well; they are one of the more loyal fan bases in music.

Finishing in the top five of the otherwise fairly meaningless voting might also be important. All fan votes are tabulated into one ballot that is added to the thousand other ballots to decide who gets enshrined or not. In 2024, though, all the top-five vote-getters made it into the Rock Hall.

There is no guarantee that the top five will be enshrined, but it is at least a good sign for when the announcement about who will be inducted in 2025 will be made. That announcement will be made in late April. Fan voting for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ends on April 21.

Cyndi Lauper fans should be happy with latest 2025 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame voting results

There were a couple of notable moves over the last week. Last week, we saw Bad Company, which sits in second place behind Phish, extend its lead over third-place Billy Idol. This week, Cyndi Lauper jumps up to fourth place while Soundgarden slides to fifth.

To make matters more nervous for Soundgarden fans, sixth-place Joe Cocker got a big vote bump over the last seven days. Cocker trailed the Seattle band by 6,000 votes a week ago, but now the difference is just 4,000.

In other words, if you loved the music Chris Cornell and his mates made, get online and vote. You can do so once a day until voting ends.
