Devo, your favorite band from Akron, Ohio, has never truly quit. They might no longer make studio albums, but they don't really need to. Devotees will know the depth of the catalog of the group, but a lot of people who go to see Devo live might not know most of the songs.

That is a shame because the group was always so much more than "Whip It." That song is perfectly great, of course, but it overshadows the excellence of a band that should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but likely never will be.

If you, for instance, have never heard Devo's cover of the Rolling Stones' "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction," then immediately after checking the bottom of this article to see where the guys from Akron will be playing live in 2026, you should.

Devo isn't quite done yet; announce 2026 tour dates

But don't stop there. "Jocko Homo" is a tremendous earworm that you will be happy is stuck in your head. Both of the previous songs, by the way, were released before the iconic "Whip It."

While Devo won't be doing a long run of shows in 2026 (they also have two more to do with the B-52s from a tour that started in 2025), any kind of productivity is potentially a positive sign. The group implied they would no longer be making music after 2025, but that hasn't turned out to be the case.

Devo 2026 tour dates:

  • April 7 - Salt Lake City, UT @ The Complex - Rockwell
