Celebrating the 20th anniversary of their second studio album, Death by Sexy, the Eagles of Death Metal are hitting the road in 2026 to play the album in full, as well as fan-favorites. Don't expect co-founder Josh Homme to perform, though.
Homme, who fans also know from Queens of the Stone Age, still appears on any albums the band produces, but he rarely tours with the band. He obviously likes to make the sausage, but then does not review how good the sausage is after it has been made and eaten. Some musical artists just like doing that.
If you don't know much about the band, expect a lot of irony. The group doesn't play death metal, but instead loads of other rock subgenres, from garage rock, rockabilly, and blues rock, among others. Founding members Homme and Jesse Hughes (who does tour with the band) don't use their own names very often.
Eagles of Death Metal announce 2026 tour dates
Homme is Carlo Von Sexron, DP Pete, or Zombie Zebra, or whatever else he wants to be called. Hughes might be the Devil or perhaps Boots Electric. The whole idea is to have fun, both for the Eagles of Death Metal and their fans.
If you are thinking of checking them out, you will have your chance to see them live beginning in early August through early September. You won't be disappointed if you go.
General public tickets go on sale on Friday, March 27, at 10 am local time. For more information, one can visit the Eagles of Death Metal's official website.
