Everclear has never truly gone away, at least Art Alexakis hasn't. He is the remaining founding member, and none of the other members are even close to the 1992 start of the band. That's completely fine, of course. Alexakis has made some excellent music.
The good part is that the band is undergoing an expansive tour with some newly announced fall shows that will have a bit of a twist. From October 22 onward, the band will perform the seven most-requested songs in each town.
Tickets for the new shows begin with a Live Nation pre-sale, among other pre-sales, on Tuesday, May 19, at 10 am local time. The general public portion of tickets will be made available on Wednesday, May 20, at 10 am local time. You can visit the band's official website for more information.
Everclear drops fall tour dates that include an interesting twist
Everclear has released 11 studio albums, the last of which came out in 2015. Still, as proven by the approach to the new shows, the band understands fans come first. Seeing what the group's devotees want to hear at each stop should be interesting.
