The Los Angeles wildfires have taken an unimaginable toll not just on southern California but on the rest of the world. That might sound like hyperbole, but the fact is the region is unique. It is home to the Hollywood film industry as well as to major record labels, among many other things. While those buildings have not all been affected by the fires, the people have been.
Some people, of course, will be displaced forever. Their homes are gone, and the area is somewhere they might never move back to. Some people will never be able to afford to rebuild. People need assistance, and other people hopefully feel the drive to help them.
That last group includes a number of musicians who will participate in two upcoming concerts to help the Los Angeles area. The concerts will both be held on January 30 at 6 pm PT. One will be at the Intuit Dome, and the other at Kia Forum. The money for the events goes solely to those affected by the fires.
The FireAid lineups are guaranteed to entertain any music lover
Tickets will go on sale on January 22 at 12 pm PT, and one can purchase the tickets at Ticketmaster. But if you cannot go to the shows, that is OK. You can stream them live on many different services. These include Apple TV, Max, Netflix, Paramount+, Prime Video, Veeps, and YouTube. You also listen to nearly all of your favorite streaming services. AMC Theatres will also show the concerts, but you will need to check your local venues.
Who will play, though? The list reads as a who's-who of iconic musical artists. Many have direct ties to Los Angeles as well. They either currently live there now, or have lived there at some part of their lives.
The latest performers who are set to play FireAid are John Fogerty, Graham Nash, the Black Crowes, Stevie Wonder, Alanis Morissette, Anderson .Paak, Dawes, No Doubt, and Olivia Rodrigo. They join a list that includes Stevie Nicks, Green Day, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, Jelly Roll, and Dave Matthews, among others.
In other words, if you love music and want to help people affected by the Los Angeles wildfires, you should buy a ticket to one of the concerts. Or subscribe to one of the services live streaming the shows. You will not be disappointed, and you will rightfully feel better as a human being.
