Springtime normally brings some good sounds, and maybe even the song of summer, if that is still a thing. One could hope because just the term sounds like joy. The good part is that April's new albums should bring a lot of happiness.
The list below doesn't even include Record Store 2026, which is on April 18. That is the day reissues, live albums, and special releases will be made available. It is a great day that music fans look forward to for months.
But some original releases in April likely provide the same kind of anticipated waits. The biggest week is the last Friday of April (which you can see below). If you haven't spent all your money on RSD, you will want to spend a bit more on April 24.

This one is going to be pure gold. Released as part of a year-long celebration of the iconic saxophonist's 100th birthday (Coltrane died in 1967), this collection was recorded during performances in New York City and Philadelphia between 1961 and 1965 by Frank Tiberi. The tracks have been part of a private collection, but now being released to the public.
