Tobias Forge, founder and the actuality of the excellent band Ghost, has had to follow the path that many entertainers have had to do. The issue is that the extremity of the events has become more dire. Forge had to contact the police in his native Sweden about a woman he claims is stalking him.

According to Aftonbladet, Forge says he has been stalked many times before, as many personalities have been, but he hasn't had to go to such extremes as contacting the authorities until now, it seems. The issue isn't that he has someone randomly sending him emails. The problem goes further.

Forge states that the woman claims that they first met 16 years ago and are now engaged. The singer has been married for decades and has had two children. In other words, he is obviously not recently engaged.

Ghost's Tobias Forge forced to call police about woman claimed to be stalker

The woman, who began the alleged stalking by sending Forge digital messages, has since sent him registered letters at his home, as well as a cell phone that was not factory sealed. That last part seems simple enough, except that one could not know if the phone itself is an explosive danger, but might also be set to hear conversations from anyone who is nearby.

Forge states he didn't leave the phone in his home, but set it outside. He then contacted the police about the situation.

Other musicians have had grave issues related to stalkers recently, too. A man who claimed to have stalked Billie Eilish, and was previously arrested for doing so, died in early 2026 after he was struck by a train.

Former Fleetwood Mac member Lindsey Buckingham was attacked on April 1 after a stalker threw an unknown substance at him. The singer was fine, but the situation was clearly a scary one, as one could never know what was being thrown at them.

The key in all this, music lovers, is to love the music but maybe not so much the person creating the songs and albums. Maybe they are good people and worthy of being admired, but they are also human beings, too, just like you and me.
