This is really happening.

So much for Taylor Swift taking some time away from music. She will be back soon with a new album, her second in two years. Since 2020, Swift has taken two years between records.

She probably had more time to make new music because she no longer had to worry about re-recording the songs from her Big Machine Records albums. She purchased back the original masters this year, which meant there was no point in making the same album twice. She could, if she wanted, turn her attention in full to new stuff.

Her official website had a countdown timer go off at 12:12 am ET on Tuesday morning, and with that ending, a new beginning occurred. It will be a new era for Taylor Swift, one that appears to be orange-flavored.

How to watch Taylor Swift on Travis Kelce's New Heights podcast

The pre-orders for her new album, which is called The Life of a Showgirl, show vinyl in orange, and there have been numerous photos of the site and the singer on social media showing her dressed in orange. As she has had color-themed eras previously, and never had one in orange, we can only assume a different direction for the upcoming album.

We don't yet know the official release date of The Life of a Showgirl or the official artwork of the record. We might find out the answers to both of those things as Swift is set to make an appearance on Travis Kelce's podcast, New Heights, on Wednesday.

The official Instagram accounts of Taylor Swift and New Heights both showed a clip announcing her appearance, as well as her giving us the news of a new record. She is holding what appears to be a vinyl album, but the cover is burred. Most likely, it will be unblurred on the new episode of the pod.

So, when can Taylor Swift fans (and, well...fans of the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles) watch the episode and find out more about Swift's new album? New Heights will stream on Wednesday, August 13, at 7 pm ET on YouTube as well as Wondery+. That last one is a subscription-based app available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
