As it turns out, those two songs that Jack White dropped just before his Saturday Night Live appearance on April 4 weren't one-offs, but part of a bigger reveal. This week, the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer announced, via his Third Man Records webstore, due to the record being made available for pre-sale, that he will be delivering a new album soon, Frozen Charlotte.

The album will be released on July 10 and has 13 tracks. The list includes two that fans have already heard, "G.O.D. and the Broken Ribs" and "Derecho Demonico." Both are great bangers, so if the rest of the album is much like them, listeners are in for a treat.

The record will be White's seventh solo LP, and his first since No Name in 2024. This follows the recent trend of the icon releasing new albums every couple of years (though in 2022, he dropped two new records).

According to the description on his webstore, the album will feature Patrick Keeler on drums, Dominic Davis on bass, and Bobby Emmett on keys. The band has worked together in Jack White's recent concerts, so the new record might have a live feel to it.

The guitarist's most recent album only reached No. 108 on the Billboard charts, but that was partly due to a fairly limited release initially. It was made available only on his webstore at first. Still, No Name was arguably White's best album in years as far as consistency and depth of the tracks, and Frozen Charlotte seems ready to follow the same path.

The cover art for the new album was done by Jack White and features a blue skull put in place of a sailor's head on a sailor's body. The vinyl, which is what one would get in the pre-order, also has the blue skull at the center.
