Wilco is one of the more underrated rock bands of the last 30 years, spinning their own bent on alternative rock, alternative country, folk-rock, and just about anything else they want to do. The key is that frontman Jeff Tweedy consistently brings the magic.
While it would be only a slight overstatement to say that Tweedy is Wilco, if one can't see the full band and only sees the vocalist, the concerts are still as good. Tweedy might do more songs from his solo work, of course, but he will likely play many brilliant Wilco tunes, too.
Wilco is doing a fairly lengthy tour over the summer, but Tweedy will follow that with a bunch of solo shows. That begins on October 4 at Shoals Fest in Florence, Alabama, and it really kicks off on October 20 in Three Oaks, Michigan.

Tweedy will be supported at most shows by opener Case Oats, a duo that includes Tweedy's son, Spencer, and Casey Gomez. The group has released just one full-length studio album, 2025's Last Missouri Exit.
Jeff Tweedy's last solo album, the excellent Twilight Override, was released in 2025. The new solo dates will be somewhat in support of that record, but more about Tweedy's overall discography.
Pre-sale for Tweedy's dates begins on Wednesday, June 10, with general-public tickets available on Friday, June 12, at 10 am local time. One can find more information on Tweedy's official website.
