Kevin Bacon has always been an underrated musical artist. He and his brother have done a bunch of touring as the Bacon Brothers, and while they aren't going to win any Grammys, they do entertain. That is the entire point.

Now, throw all that out for a minute. Bacon recently decided to take a step back from somewhat more serious music and do a cover of a Sabrina Carpenter song. This isn't to say that Carpenter's track, "When Did You Get Hot?" isn't deliciously well-crafted fun because it is.

But Kevin Bacon took it in a different direction, and Carpenter responded on social media that she was just fine with it. But first, a bit of background.

Kevin Bacon pays homage to Sabrina Carpenter in the best way

As part of the chorus, Carpenter croons, "I did a double take, triple take /Take me to naked Twister back at your place /Baby, baby, mm, it's thickening the plot /When did you get hot?"

That, of course, is a bit over the top about, well...You know what it's about. There is no Bob Dylan to that, but straightforwardness unfiltered. As part of Bacon's chrosu, he talks about something completely different.

Bacon sings, "I did a double take, triple take/Take me to pigs in the blanket, back in the farm/Piggy, piggy, you’re thickening the plot/When did you get hot?"

When one watches the clip Bacon sent on social media, there is no hidden meaning to what he is singing about. He is singing about pigs. Real pigs, and specifically the ones on his farm.

Kevin Bacon wearing an Iron Maiden t-shirt somehow heightens the enjoyment of the video. The song is far from metal, both in musical style and sentiment, but it seemingly fits with Bacon performing a Sabrina Carpenter tune.

As for Carpenter, she was fine with the whole thing. She shared the clip on her social media pages and added a comment on Bacon's. She wrote, "The vibes on the farm are immaculate."

There is a chance you can see Carpenter do her version of the song live soon without leaving your couch. She will be both musical guest and host on the third show of the new Saturday Night Live season. That will air on October 18.
