The definition of poise.

Country music icon LeAnn Rimes has been very open about her battles with dental work and botched surgeries. She has had nearly 30 surgeries from bad dental work, and she has a bridge on the front of her teeth.

So it might come as no surprise, due to all her dental issues, that during a recent concert at the Skagit Casino Resort in Bow, Washington, her dental work literally fell out of her mouth. Many musical artists, and less-confident people, would have left the stage, never to return, and never address the situation.

Not Rimes. Not only did she return to continue the concert, all the time continuing to hold her bridge in place, but she posted on Instagram afterward exactly what happened. Instead of hiding in horror, she showed what humanity truly is.

LeAnn Rimes continues to entertain after her teeth fall out

She has struggled through no fault of her own with her teeth for more than a decade. A famous singer suffering such a fate of their teeth falling out in front of an audience might be forgiven for saying the show cannot go on. Rimes was there to do a paid gig, and dang it, if she was not going to give people their money's worth.

The incident happened during her performance of "One Way Ticket," her 1996 hit. According to her IG post, she said, "I feel something pop in my mouth. And if you’ve been around, you know I’ve had a lot of dental surgeries and I have a bridge in the front, and it fell out in the middle of my song last night... There wasn’t a f—ing thing I could do about it except either walk off or just hold my teeth in and sing, so I just ran with it."

Classy, and whether you like Rimes' music or not (maybe you don't care for country music), she certainly earned some points for respect. How many of us would have gone on knowing that such an embarrassing moment had happened?

Heck, maybe she did so well in handling the whole situation with class that she is worth seeing if she is in a concert near you. Maybe her teeth will fall out and maybe they won't. Either way, Rimes will continue the show as expected.
