Liz Phair hasn't released an album since 2021. Sleater-Kinney hasn't released a record since 2024, but the two female-led alt-rock icons are hitting the road together for a short run of shows in 2026 that you absolutely must not miss.

A pre-sale for the tickets for the newly announced gigs began at 10 am local time on Wednesday, April 29, while general public tickets began at 10 am local time on Friday, May 1. To get them, one can visit the official sites of either Liz Phair or Sleater-Kinney.

Oddly enough, while Sleater-Kinney is better known for their work from the 1990s, like Liz Phair, their best-charting albums have come recently. 2015's No Cities to Love reached No. 18 on the Billboard album charts.

Phair might be best known for her 1994 hit, "Supernova." Or, perhaps, 2003's "Why Can't I?" Either way, and just like Sleater-Kinney, she is an artist who has a catalog worth checking out, and in a different world would have been much more popular.

That isn't ultimately what matters, though. The truth is that both artists have their loyal fans, and one might argue that those fans are smarter than your average pop listener. Instead of only tuning into what is on the radio, Liz Phair and Sleater-Kinney fans dove into quality. There was quite a bit of it with these two 1990s legends.
