Metallica's M72 World Tour isn't finished yet, and it might never be. New dates were announced beginning in May 2027, and while one cannot assume those will be the last of the tour, they probably won't be.
After all, the current run of shows began in April 2023, and except for a bit of downtime every once in a while, the band keeps churning out must-see shows that encompass elite sound with a magnificent stage setup. It is basically like having a bit of Las Vegas in one's own city (or one close by).
Vancouver, BC, will host the first show in May next year, and the newly announced dates will run through mid-June. All of the dates except for the first will take place in the United States.
Metallica drop new M72 World Tour dates beginning May 2027
Tickets for the shows will start as a Fan Club presale on Monday, September 21, at 10 am local time. Several other presales will occur during the week before general public tickets will be made available on Friday, September 25, at 10 am local time.
Clearly, it is better to jump on one of the presales if you can, because tickets will probably sell out quickly. That way, at least you can secure a ticket to one of the concerts.
Besides the Fan Club presale, Citi cardmembers will have access to a presale from Tuesday, September 22, at 10 am local time through Thursday, September 24, at 10 pm local time. One can visit the Citi Entertainment site for more details.
Verizon offers a presale through its loyalty program. That will occur from September 22 at 10 am local time through September 24 at 10 pm local time.
Metallica is one of the consistently great metal bands live. If you spend whatever it takes to get a ticket, you will not be disappointed. You will only be disappointed if you miss the show.
