Morrissey, your favoirte indie singer of your favorite indie band from the 1980s, the Smiths, is back on the road this year. He has been touring for quite a while, and he always puts on an excellent show when he bothers to show up.
That's the issue with the icon. He cancels a lot of his concerts, meaning you are stuck with having to get your hard-earned money refunded. Morrissey offers the ultimate risk versus reward. If he plays his scheduled show, he's worth whatever the price is to pay to see him, but you might pay the price with the understanding you won't be going.
In one recent stretch, Moz cancelled 49 of his 100 shows, a ratio no musical artist should want. Morrissey doesn't mind, though. His cancellations have wide-ranging reasons. Maybe they are all valid, but the high amount of cancellations is extremely rare, and can be off-putting.
Morrissey drops 2026 tour dates (but you might find yourself missing out)
He will be touring in 2026 in support of a new album, at least. He hasn't produced loads of records in the past decade, as he has struggled to acquire or keep a record company. His latest bon mot is Make-Up is a Life, which is not among his best. The songs sound similar to each other, with very little uptick in pace.
Pre-sale tickets for the newly announced dates start on Wednesday, April 29, at 12 pm local time. General public tickets start on Friday, May 1, at 12 pm local time. For more information, one can check out Morrissey's (un)official website.
