The good news is that Mötley Crüe will tour in 2026 and do a decently long run of shows. The bad news is that the tour might be their last. The band has announced that, but Nikki Sixx recently implied that to a fan on social media.
It could be that Sixx is already mentally exhausted even before the tour starts in July. Once the band begins playing shows, the bassist might feel rejuvenated. Possibly, he won't want to stop gigging. After all, the band has already called one tour their "final" one, but that was in 2015.
It wasn't. If a group can sense they can make a grand sum of money touring, they likely will. In other words, what Sixx says on social media now might not be the official word forever.
Mötley Crüe might be touring for the last time in 2026
Nikki Sixx said in response to a fan asking about doing future shows in Japan, "Don’t know if I’ll ever tour there again. I love Japan, but after these 33 shows our contracts up and we will need some real time off to decide what we do or do not wanna do in the future."

What "real time off" means exactly is unknown. Maybe the reason for not doing more shows is truly financial, but not in the way people think. Perhaps the only reason Mötley Crüe is touring in 2026 is because they are contractually bound to. Once they aren't forced to by promoters, we might never see the band in concert again. Still, we have 2026.
