My Chemical Romance has surprised fans with an unexpected social media post that could be hinting at something exciting on the way.

In their latest Instagram post, MCR have shared an image of a yellow spider with the Roman numerals XV. The graphic should be familiar to fans as the spider and the art embedded in the numerals both come from the band’s iconic Danger Days album artwork. The post’s caption ominously says just one word: “Tomorrow.”

Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys is My Chemical Romance’s fourth studio album, which was released in 2010. The 15th anniversary of the album’s release happened this past November.

What could My Chemical Romance be planning for the Danger Days 15th anniversary?

While it’s clear, with the roman numerals and the Danger Days art, that MCR have some sort of anniversary celebration planned, there’s no telling what they have planned. We can take some educated guesses, though!

MCR may be hinting at an anniversary re-release of some sort. Based on precedent, that could mean a remixed or remastered version of Danger Days. Just last year, the band released a remixed and remastered deluxe edition of their second album, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, for the album’s 21st anniversary, so an anniversary re-release would not be that surprising.

An anniversary celebration of a previous album is right up MCR’s alley. Ever since their reunion, they seem to be focused on celebrating their previous works through releases and tours.

For the past few years, the band has been earnestly touring, first with their reunion tour and now with their highly ambitious “Long Live The Black Parade” tour, which is more like an entire theatrical stage production rather than just a simple tour.

On the “Tomorrow” in question, the band will also be headlining Sonic Temple, a music festival in Columbus, Ohio. It is also possible that they could be planning to incorporate their announcement during the festival or even on stage in some way.

Although we can make these educated guesses, only time will tell what My Chemical Romance has in store. Thankfully, it seems we only have to wait until tomorrow!
