One of the best moments of Bad Bunny's halftime show turned out to be real

It was perfect.

For those who chose not watch the Bad Bunny Super Bowl LX halftime show for political reasons, you missed out. Maybe you don't speak Spanish, and that's fine. Many who watched the performance don't speak Spanish either, and thought it was fantastic.

In fact, what Bad Bunny pulled off was arguably among the best halftime shows ever. The staging was incredible and unique, the songs were energetic and fun, and having Ricky Martin and Lady Gaga join in was brilliant. There was nothing not to love.

Bad Bunny proved why he was the most-streamed musical artist of 2025, and maybe he will be again in 2026. His talent crosses musical genres, of which he incorporates a lot, ages, nationalities, and, yes, languages. He is worthy of being heard, and he will almost certainly continue to be so.

Bad Bunny put on a great Super Bowl halftime show and got a couple married too

But something the Puerto Rican icon did as part of the show also went without much notice. Early in the show, a couple was shown as if they were going to be married. It appeared to be part of the act. It was. The couple was actually getting married. To make it even better, the wedding was more notable because of a decision Bad Bunny made.

According to the Associated Press and a Bad Bunny representative, the couple had asked the musical artist to come to their wedding, which had yet to be fully planned. The music icon had a different idea. Instead, the unnamed couple should be part of the halftime show, have a real wedding, and have real guests.

Beyond that, he also served as a witness to the event and signed their wedding certificate. Even the cake that was prepared for the wedding was real.

In other words, the show, which was set up to be a celebration of Puerto Rican heritage, wasn't purely for show, but an actual event. It made the elite performance all the more magical.

That is especially true as the entire performance had less than 14 minutes to take place, but Bad Bunny got in 12 songs, was assisted by two other music legends, had a couple get married, had Pedro Pascal and Jessica Alba play a part, and got it all done without a hitch.

The event proved not only that Bad Bunny knows how to make great music, but it was also further proof that he understands how to make a great show, too. And it all culminated with the artist spiking a football.
