Taylor Swift was nominated for six 2024 Grammy Awards. Shockingly, but rightfully, she only won two. One was for Best Pop Vocal Album, but the other was a major award: Album of the Year. The victory was Swift's fourth career win in the category which broke the record for most Album of the Year wins by a musical artist. She was previously tied with Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, and Paul Simon.

In her acceptance speech, Swift said that winning the award was not the happiest moment of her life, however. She gets the same joy from creating music. This, of course, is good news for her fans as Swifties want to continuously get new music from their favorite artist. And Swift made her fans doubly happy with a major announcement after winning her first award of the night.

After winning Best Pop Vocal Album, Swift announced she would be releasing her new album on April 19 and that the record would be called Tortured Poets Department. One would expect to hear a snippet of a single or an entire song from the new album soon.

Swift failed to win the two other biggest awards of the 2024 Grammys, though. Record of the Year was won by Miley Cyrus for "Flowers," and Song of the Year was won by Billie Eilish and her brother, Finneas, for What Was I Made For? (From The Motion Picture 'Barbie')".

Cyrus won two awards. They were the first Grammy Awards she had won. Besides Record of the Year, she won for Best Pop Solo Performance.

Eilish was nominated for six awards and, like Taylor Swift, won two. Besides Song of the Year, she also won for Best Song Written for Visual Media. Eilish now has won 9 Grammys with her first coming in 2020.
