Apparently, it is that time of year for pop divas to make big splashy news. Taylor Swift released her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, this past weekend and the album broke one-day streaming records. Not a big surprise, of course, as everything Swift seems to turn gold.

The day before Swift's album dropped (and then dropped again), Beyoncé and her people announced that there would be a documentary on Max called Call Me Country: Beyoncé & Nashville's Renaissance that will air beginning April 26. The project is produced by CNN FlashDocs and discusses how "Black artists in Nashville" have been paving the way for performers such as Queen Bey and Lil Nas X to explore the country music genre.

But even before all that happy insanity, Billie Eilish announced she would be releasing a new album called Hit Me Hard And Soft and that the record would be released on May 17. At the time, music fans everywhere just did not know the names of the songs on the album or even how many there would be. But now we know.

Billie Eilish announces the tracklist for her new record, Hit Me Hard And Soft

Eilish posted on her Instagram account that the tracklist will include 10 songs. She has said none of the songs will be released prior to the album so we will just have to wait and see what the record sounds like. We can likely safely assume that Eilish will sing in a whisper quite a bit over lush and beautiful melodies. Her music somehow seems timeless without many people knowing exactly why.

The tracklist appears to be this:

1. "Skinny"
2. "Lunch"
3. "Chihiro"
4. "Birds of a Feather"
5. "Wildflower"
6. "The Greatest"
7. "L'Amour De Ma Vie"
8. "The Diner"
9. "Bittersuite"
10. "Blue"

The album's artwork will feature Billie Eilish sinking into some deep water while a white door above her is either opening or closing. One might wonder if one listening to the album will feel a bit claustrophobic. Or as if they were drowning. That wouldn't be good.

There will be eight vinyl editions of the record produced with sustainable environmental practices. These are already available for pre-order. (You might just want to buy one variant of the vinyl, however, because the songs will probably be the same for each. Or maybe Eilish will do the Swift thing of basically dropping two albums at once.)
