You wanted the best, you got the best! At least to steal a phrase from what KISS has used over the decades to introduce their shows. Still, what could possibly be better than a Green Day and Smashing Pumpkins tour? There are simply too many songs for each band that can be played in one concert.

Green Day let it slip a week ago that the two bands would be touring in 2024. We just didn't know when or where, or, most importantly, when you could buy tickets until this week. Plus, the bands will have some pals along that you might be fans of even more than Green Day or Smashing Pumpkins. What's being called the Saviors Tour will feature Rancid, the Linda Lindas along with other groups such as the Interrupters.

Hello. Best tour ever? Very possibly it could be.

Most tickets will go on sale on November 10. If you can jump in on the presell, most of the tickets will start being offered on November 8. The reason the tour is being called the Saviors Tour is because that will also be the name of Green Day's new album - Saviors - which comes out on January 19, 2024. The first single from the record, "The American Dream is Killing Me," is out and sounds fantastic.

Green Day and Smashing Pumpkins kick off tour in 2024

In fact, the new single harkens back to old Green Day which many see as the best days of the band. It's short, political, and catchy. Green Day produces those kinds of tunes like few other groups could.

The European leg of the tour will kick off in Spain in May and finish in London on June 29 The American leg of the tour begins on July 29 and stops on September 28 in San Diego, California. The American tour will cross across the country so if you live, well...anywhere, you can probably catch a show near you.

Besides Green Day, Smashing Pumpkins, the Interrupters (for European dates), Linda Lindas, and Rancid, other bands coming along for the ride at times are Nothing but Thieves, the Hives, Donots, and Maid of Ace. One of those bands you likely love, but you'll have to make sure they will be on the date you want. So save your money now for tickets.
