Musical artists combined with a huge sporting event? That never happens, right? Well, of course, it does. Just check out the front row of any Los Angeles Lakers home basketball game. But at the US Open over the last couple of weeks, we have seen a bunch of superstar musicians choose to come to watch.

The men's final of the US Open is on Sunday afternoon. There could be several European artists who watch a final featuring Serbian Novak Djokovic against Russian Daniil Medvedev. Maybe the stars will align. By that I mean, maybe they all sit on the same row and we can watch them.

Anywho, who's shown up so far at the US Open? At least one fairly local guy who's been around for decades. One artist whose recent album has tanked. And another who will sing the national anthem on Sunday.

Musical artists watching the US Open include Lin-Manuel Miranda and Jon Bon Jovi

Jon Batiste was spotted having a good time at the US Open this past week. He shouldn't also be celebrating the sales of his new album, World Music Radio, however. In its first week, the record sold only 15,000 copies. That is horrendously low.

Jon Bon Jovi has been a tennis fan for years. The New Jersey rocker probably just needed to take an Uber to get to Flushing Meadow to watch the tournament. There were rumors about a potential Bon Jovi reunion tour, but unless Richie Sambora shows up at the US Open and sits next to Jon while watching tennis, any reunion seems unlikely.

Lin-Manuel Miranda isn't a solo performer, but he is a musical performer and wrote one of the most famous Broadway musicals ever, Hamilton. Still, we will claim him as a musical artist here because, well...he's Lin-Manuel Miranda. Wouldn't you claim him as one of your own if you could?

Dev Hynes was also spotted at the US Open. He gets around musically using different names and performing with different artists. He didn't play at the US Open, though, and that's probably best for tennis fans everywhere.

Will Liverman will perform the national anthem before the men's final between Daniil Medvedev and Novak Djokovic. The baritone is a fantastic opera singer. Tune in for the men's final to hear him sing the national anthem and then stick around to watch the match.
