Will Travis Kelce be by Taylor Swift's side at the 2024 Grammy Awards?: What we know

The 2024 Grammy Awards are on Sunday, February 4. Taylor Swift has been nominated for six awards, including the three biggest - Record of the Year and Song of the Year for "Anti-Hero" and Album of the Year for Midnights. She is not expected to perform or present at the Grammys but she is expected to be at the ceremony. Will her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, join her?

Kelce's Chiefs are getting ready for the Super Bowl, of course. This will be his fourth trip to the Super Bowl with the Chiefs and Kansas City has won twice. Kansas City has been in the Super Bowl four times since 2019. No other team has had that many appearances since 2019.

But since Kelce's team is in the Super Bowl, which takes place on Sunday, February 11 in Las Vegas, Nevada, that means Kelce will not be able to join Taylor Swift at the Grammy Awards. At least, the expectation is he will not. The Grammy Awards are held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California which is a four-hour drive and a one-hour flight. Nothing can be completely ruled out so maybe there is a 2 percent chance that Kelce jumps on Swift's private plane and makes the awards show.

Swift already knows where she will sit, however. According to a CBS post on TikTok, Swift will be sitting next to Lana Del Rey. Del Rey is nominated for five awards. Two of the nominations will be up against two of Swift's as Del Rey is nominated for Song of the Year for "A&W" and Album of the Year for Did You Know That There's A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd.

Del Rey and Swift did collaborate on a track from Swift's Midnights album, however. That song was "Snow on the Beach."

While Taylor Swift will probably be happy winning all the awards she is nominated for, she is unlikely to be joined by Travis Kelce. The expectation is that he will not be at the Grammys. Next week at the Super Bowl, though. Swift is expected to watch Kelce's Chiefs play the San Francisco 49ers.
