Saturday Night Live might be a bit hit and miss on its funny (or unfunny, if you will) sketches recently, but the musical guests keep bringing the greatness. That goes for both the US and UK editions of the show. Both versions are close to their seasons' ends, and lining up the musical acts in the process.

The US edition only has four dates left, and that includes a decent-sized break after April 11. That would be this coming Saturday, of course, and that show will be hosted by the excellent Colman Domingo, who will be joined by musical act Anitta.

If you don't know of the latter, be prepared for excellence. The Brazilian mixes different musical genres, such as pop, reggaeton, funk, and electronica, into something extremely unique and eternally interesting. She won't just be the perfect guest with Domingo, but could be the best musical guest of the season after Jack White.

Saturday Night Live announces next musical guests

Saturday Night Live picks back up on May 2 with a two-fer. Olivia Rodrigo will host for the first time, but will be her own musical guest. She will do the second part of the previous sentence for the third time. She has a new album out to sell, too. you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love is due to be released on June 12.

On May 9, Matt Damon will host, while Noah Kahan will be the musical act. Kahan will be on SNL for the second time, his debut coming in 2023. The singer-songwriter isn't about selling millions of units, but making great songs. He does that.

The season finale promises to be special on May 16. SNL alum Will Ferrell, who has a new Netflix show coming out in July called The Hawk, will host, but, more importantly, Sir Paul McCartney will be the musical guest. Saying no to watching such a legend is never a good idea.

Saturday Night Live UK is having a shorter season and is also set to end in May (though the viewership has fallen a great deal over its three-show run, so be forewarned, it could be dismissed quickly), and the next known host and musical guest comes on April 11. Comedian Jack Whitehall will host, while Jorja Smith will provide the music.

The latter is an English singer-songwriter, and quite good. One aspect that SNL UK has gotten perfect is its collection of musical talent, which includes Wet Leg, Wolf Alice, and Kasabian so far.
