Slipknot surprised very few longtime fans by announcing tour dates on Monday. After all, the band had placed posters in different cities in the Western Hemisphere that gave those interested a URL, and once there, one discovered a "9" and "28," with the implication that a major announcement was coming.
That announcement was for a 2027 tour that will begin in July and run through mid-September. Of course, the tour could be expanded to more dates, but for now, we know when the shows will happen, who will open for Slipknot, and when tickets will go on sale.
As for the ticket information, an artist pre-sale begins on Tuesday, September 29, at 10 am local time, while a general on-sale will begin on Friday, October 2, at 10 am local time. For both events, fans can check out Slipknot's official website or Ticketmaster.
Slipknot drop 2027 tour dates with fantastic opening acts
It is with the various opening bands that things get really interesting. Marilyn Manson will open for the metal icons, but only on non-North American dates. The first show on the tour will take place at Wembley Stadium in London, and Marilyn Manson will be there, as well as at the last four South American shows.
Bring Me the Horizon will open for Slipknot from July 16 through August 18, which is currently the majority of the tour and all of the North American dates. If you plan on going to a few of those dates (and why see just one), then you know you are going to see some epic performances.
Acid Bath will join Slipknot and Bring Me the Horizon on July 16 in Washington, DC, and on the 18th in Queens, New York. Motionless in White will do the same thing and join for two shows, and those will take place on August 15th and 18th in San Francisco and Phoenix, respectively. Lamb of God will join Slipknot for the one Chicago show on July 25.
Other openers for different dates include Lorna Shore, Kublai Khan TX, Vended, Polyphia, and Loathe. But just seeing Slipknot alone would be an elite experience. They never disappoint in concert.
