While 2026 might be the year of Harry Styles in the pop world, it might be the year of Social Distortion in punk. The band is about to embark on a lengthy tour of Europe and follow that up with dates in North America. Plus, the group is releasing a new album.
The newly announced North American dates will begin in late August in Arizona (the show is inside, thankfully) and run through early October in Social Distortion's native California. Tickets went on sale on Friday, February 27, and are available on the band's official website.
Social Distortion's new album, their first LP in 15 years, will be called Born to Kill. The record will be released on May 8, and the title track is already available to listen to. It is, as you expect, fantastic. If the rest of the album sounds the same, and why wouldn't it?, then we are in for a treat.
Social Distortion returns with expansive tour and new album
Frontman Mike Ness was diagnosed with tonsillar cancer in 2023, but has undergone treatment and appears to be fully ready to deliver his usual excellence. Thank goodness for all involved.
