Soon after Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce began dating, the pop icon began showing up at Chiefs games and cheering her boyfriend on. He did the same at a couple of her concerts. They were supportive, and it was fun.
Swift, though, began to get a lot of criticism from NFL fans for her face appearing on the TV screens while football fans were trying to enjoy the game. The issue was that Swift was not in charge of how many times she was shown during Chiefs games, and, to be fair, it wasn't really very much airtime.
Plus, what was she supposed to do? Not go? That wouldn't be fair to her or anyone else who had a personal involvement with one of the players in the game.
Get used to seeing a lot of Taylor Swift at Kansas City Chiefs games during the 2025 season
Unlike most of the last two seasons (Swift and Kelce began dating in late 2023), the singer does not have a tour to do. Maybe she is working on making a new album, but there is no rush on that either. Her most recent record of new material, The Tortured Poets Department, came out in 2024.
She also won't be re-recording the final album of her Big Machine Records years, Reputation, as she was able to purchase back the masters from her first six albums. There is no reason for her to be in the studio except to create a new album, as she has already re-recorded a bunch of her debut self-titled record.
A source recently told People magazine that Swift was excited to have the chance to appear at even more of Kelce and the Chiefs' games. If you didn't like Swift's face showing up at Kansas City matchups before, you will likely hate it during the 2025 season.
