Taylor Swift just dropped a load of happiness on Swifties everywhere

Look what she made us do.

We have heard this before, haven't we? Taylor Swift plans on re-recording all her Big Machine Records-era albums so that she owns the tapes. Makes sense, and she should. She writes the songs and puts in the work; for someone else to have ownership is just wrong.

Swift has yet to release two albums as Taylor's Versions, though. Those are Reputation and her self-titled record. Maybe she hasn't re-recorded all of the tracks from those albums, so perhaps she isn't ready to put out the newer versions. We should expect one of them soon, though.

We assume that because Swift is currently in the midst of the most extended period without releasing her version of an earlier album. This might be because she released The Tortured Poets Department in 2024 and was letting some time go by before she put something else out.

Taylor Swift might be dropping some huge news at the American Music Awards

But, again, we have heard this before. We have previously heard a snippet from the re-recorded "Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor's Version)". In 2023, part of the track was heard on an Amazon Prime Video series called Wilderness. But that snippet was quite short.

On a recent episode of The Handmaid's Tale, though, we hear much more of the tune. Not the entire song, but most of it. Could this be one of Swift's ways of teasing the album release on which the song exists? Anything is possible, and Swift likes dropping clues.

This includes a reorganization of her merchandise website. About halfway down, one will notice that the formatting reads Apparel, Music, Accessories, and then Music. That spells out AMAs.

Why is that important? The American Music Awards (AMAs) will be held on May 26, and Taylor Swift is expected to attend. We know she is not afraid to announce big news at awards shows, as she announced the release of Tortured Poets at the Grammys a couple of months before the album dropped.

While we certainly should not assume what Swift will do, the timing of a lengthier version of "Look What You Made Me Do" in late May and reorganizing her site so that it spells AMAs could easily mean that on May 26, she will let us know when Reputation (Taylor's Version) will be arriving.
