Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have been dating since 2023, and some people assume the question will be popped soon. This is somewhat odd, as we often complain about how so many celebrities meet up, get married, and then get divorced. Some mere mortals date for years before they get hitched. Maybe Swift and Kelce are doing that.
There is no rush, of course, and there does not need to be. Let them have fun. Plus, they each have ridiculously busy careers, and maybe they already live together. The difference between what they do now and what they do if they get married is a simple piece of paper.
There could be a good reason why they are not already married, though. In a recent article by the Daily Mail, a source told the site that Travis Kelce might not be ready to take the next step until his career with the Kansas City Chiefs is done. That way, he can focus on life and Swift, instead of endless months of football.

The source said the tight end is "likely going to pop the question, but it is going to be when he isn’t playing anymore."
This could mean, for those who worry about such things, that next year Travis Kelce could bend a knee and ask Taylor Swift to be his wife. Or, perhaps, Swift will bend her knee and ask Kelce. The happy outcome is likely the same either way.
Swift is not currently touring, and doesn't seem to be recording a new album. Her latest bon mot was released in the spring of 2024, The Tortured Poets Department, and after buying back the masters of her Big Machines Records works, she doesn't need to re-record any previous albums.
That doesn't mean things won't change next year, though. Travis Kelce might be done playing (maybe; we aren't breaking any news here) after the 2025 season, but he might not be. His current contract ends after the coming season, and that will be his 13th season in the NFL. He would also turn 37 years old during the 2026 season, and that is ancient for a tight end.
Maybe Swifts and Kelce fans will have to wait two more years for the Big Question to be asked, or perhaps longer. Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift should be in no rush, and a proposal might never come. The point is they seem happy and hopefully always will be.
