Once upon a time, music lovers, bands would try to find a way to have their own headlining tour and be supported by lesser-known artists who were trying to find their own way to having a headlining tour. No more. Bands will strike out on the road, but do so with other bands as popular as they are.
This is the case with 1970s rock giants Foreigner and Lynyrd Skynyrd, who have recently announced they will do a month of shows together in the summer of 2026. One key bit if you are looking to go see a show, however. If you live on the West Coast of North America, you are going to have to travel to see one.
The 1970s rockers are skipping anything west of Texas, so maybe new dates will be added. Or maybe the bands understand they are juke box heroes of old whose fans want to show up in the warm sun and see two of their former favorite bands. The feel is just different when the air is colder (that said, the pair is playing in November in Oklahoma, too, and that should be great).
2026 tour dates for Foreigner and Lynyrd Skynyrd
Tickets for the shows went on sale at 9 am local time on Friday, November 21. If you might be looking for gifts to give someone (or someones) for the upcoming high holidays, Foreigner and Lynyrd Skynyrd might supply a great idea.
Both musical acts have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The boys from Jacksonville, Florida (if you know, you know) were inducted in 2006. Meanwhile, the lads from Britain were inducted in 2024.
