Wolf Alice deserves more love in the Western Hemisphere. The English band might have gotten a little notice from Americans if those Americans watched Saturday Night Live UK. The British version of the iconic show has delivered some excellent musical performances so far, and Wolf Alice was one.
The band has dropped four albums since 2015. They have all reached No. 1 or 2 on the UK charts, but not pushed past No. 90 on the Billboard charts. The fault for that lies not with the excellent indie-rock the band makes, but with the opportunities for groups like Wolf Alice to make inroads in the United States.
Thankfully, Wolf Alice will have a chance to grow its fanbase a bit more beginning in late September as it will open for Olivia Rodrigo on her new tour. The run of shows will last well into 2027, but the English band gets a chance to open at the onset of the tour.

If you live in the Northeast or upper Midwest, you should be ready to click on buying tickets when they go on sale this week, because while you know Rodrigo's music, you will also want to know Wolf Alice's. The band is indie, rock, folk, and shoegaze, sometimes all at once.
