Let's do this.

Is Wu-Tang Clan a rock & roll band? Not really, though they did collaborate with System of a Down on the song "Shame." Wu-Tang was also inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2026, so there's that. But setting that aside, if you are a fan of the group, you'll be thrilled to know you can watch them perform on Thanksgiving Day in 2026.

That is because they have been hand-picked by Eminem to be the halftime entertainment of the game between the Detroit Lions and the Chicago Bears, which takes place at 1 pm ET on November 26. Detroit has historically always hosted a game on turkey day, just as the Dallas Cowboys do.

This is the second year that Eminem and his manager, Paul Rosenberg, who is also president of Shady Records, have served as executive producers of the halftime show. They will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

In 2025, Jack White performed with a little help from Eminem. There is no word on whether Eminem will make an appearance this year, though that might be less likely. Wu-Tang Clan is a multi-performing group, of course, and one that Eminem was never a part of. It would be easier to perform with Jack White than to try to fit in with Wu-Tang.

The latter formed on Staten Island, New York, and released their debut record, the seminal Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), in 1993. The members have included RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, U-God, Masta Killa, Inspectah Deck, Cappadonna, as well as the late Ol' Dirty Bastard.

Wu-Tang has recently been on a successful tour called Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber, which concluded on October 4. The halftime show in Detroit is simply the 13-minute resolution of the tour itself.

So, while you are preparing your Thanksgiving Day dinner, or just sitting down to eat, you might as well leave the TV on and tuned to your local CBS station. That is the channel that will carry the Wu-Tang Clan performance, the perfect complement to gathering the family around to eat.

Two other NFL games will be played on Thanksgiving Day. That includes the Philadelphia Eagles playing the Cowboys in Dallas, and the halftime show will be performed by Miranda Lambert.

The other games see the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Bills in Buffalo, and the Goo Goo Dolls will be the halftime entertainment there.

The day before, U2 will play halftime at the Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Rams game. That game will be played at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
