The alleged "secret" between Yungblud and Aerosmith has finally been revealed. After Yungblud, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith, and Nuno Bettencourt performed at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards last Sunday to pay tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne, Yungblud and Aerosmith have shared a teaser for a collaborative new single titled "My Only Angel."
Following the Video Music Awards performance, where Yungblud, Tyler, Perry, and Bettencourt performed a medley some of Osbourne's greatest hits -- which included "Changes," "Crazy Train," and "Mama, I'm Coming Home" -- Yungblud and Aerosmith shared a collab post on social media, which showed a video of Tyler and Yungblud hugging backstage at the VMAs.
While Tyler and Yungblud embraced one another, Tyler jokingly said to Yungblud, "We've got a secret and nobody knows it." The caption of the post read, "We got a secret." This week, the two artists share a teaser clip of both singers in the recording studio, singing the lines to what appears to be an upcoming new single, "My Only Angel."
A Yungblud and Aerosmith collaboration seems awfully strange
To be fair, Yungblud, who appeared to have disappeared for some time, has been making a huge comeback since the Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath farewell concert. He had a long-time friendship with the Prince of Darkness that many people did not know about.
His venture into hard rock still feels strange, but maybe it will pay off. This is especially true if he is collaborating with bands who got known more for their sappy ballads than one who gave us gems such as "Sweet Emotion."
Further details of the new single, such as a release date, have not yet been announced. "My Only Angel" is available to pre-save here, if you really must know.
Yungblud is currently on the sold-out North American leg of his IDOLS World Tour, making his way throughout the U.S. and Canada this September. From October to April, Yungblud will take his IDOLS tour to Europe and the U.K.
