Let's assume you love ZZ Top, because...why wouldn't you? The blues-based rockers have made a decades-long career out of bringing listeners concise melodies coupled with just enough nuance in their guitar work that missing them live is your mistake.
The same can be said for alt-country star Dwight Yoakam. The odd part about Yoakam is that he is truly more pure country in the way Buck Owens was, but because new country is basically just pop, Yoakam sounds so different. But like all excellent musicians, he knows how to put on a fantastic live show.
While ZZ Top and Dwight Yoakam make different styles of music, the sensibilities overlap. Both create organic songs and albums, and don't try to oversell themselves simply to make money. The music matters.
ZZ Top and Dwight Yoakam hit the road together for a run of 2026 tour dates
This is why a joint tour between the two musical artists makes sense. That is just what music lovers are going to get in 2026 as well. The band and solo artist will perform 15 dates together between late March and late May in 2026. Unfortunately, the West Coast and the Northeast will miss out, so if you live in those regions, you'll need to travel a bit.
Once the tour is done, ZZ Top will be taking their act to Europe, with dates beginning on June 22 in Estonia and finishing in Spain in late July. If you want to see the band's dates with the country artist, you can check out tickets on both artists' official websites.
