The Weeknd and Ariana Grande may have something in the works, and the internet is already on the edge of its seats.
The two artists are no strangers. For Ariana Grande's 2014 sophomore album My Everything, the duo worked on the song "Love Me Harder" together. Since then, The Weeknd and Ariana Grande have released three more collabs: "off the table" (2020), "Save Your Tears" (2020), and "Die For You" (2023).
But it seems a fifth single between the two might be hiting the charts soon.
The Weeknd teases possible Ariana Grande collaboration
On February 25, 2026, The Weeknd took to his Instagram to share a Story that has fans anticipating the rumored release.
The Story contains a screenshot of all his collaborations with Ariana Grande available on Spotify. He captioned the post with four explosion emojis, an ellipsis, and a fifth explosion.
Fans soon pieced the hints together, theorizing the four initial emojis represent the already released collaborations, with the fifth one teasing a possible new single between the two pop stars.
People are, understandably, freaking out. Especially since Grande's upcoming tour, Eternal Sunshine Tour, was expected to be her last musical activity for a while, as the Wicked star has expressed her desire to pursue acting.
But if there's anyone who can pull Ariana Grande out of her music hiatus, it's The Weeknd. Some fans have joked that he's her "work husband" due to the number of times they have joined forces in the studio.
As of this writing, neither The Weeknd or Ariana Grande has said anything more about a potential collaboration. But fans definitely have their fingers crossed!
What is Ariana Grande doing now?
As mentioned, Ariana Grande will embark on the Eternal Sunshine Tour, with her first show slated for June 2026. She will tour 41 cities, with the tour scheduled to conclude in September. This will be her last activity as a musician for the foreseeable future (we'll miss your whistle notes, Ari!).
Besides that, Grande has scored some major acting gigs. She will be starring in the upcoming comedy film Focker-in-Law (November 2026) and will begin filming for the 13th season of American Horror Story in the spring.
She is also slated to make her London stage debut with Wicked co-star Jonathan Bailey in Sunday in the Park with George. The singer-actress is also set to star in the animated film Oh, the Places You'll Go, which is based on the famous Dr. Seuss book. The film will be released in 2028.
