As we approach 2026, which is a few weeks away, it's time to reflect on 2025. No matter what year it is, there always seems to be a song or a few songs that really stand out to us. Whether it's a solo or a duet, country music really produced some awesome hits.

Riley Green, Ella Langley, Morgan Wallen, and Luke Combs are just a few of many country music artists who have had some really great hits this year. But which songs really took us and made us fall in love with them this year? We would be here all day if I had to break down ALL of the bangers that were made.

So here is what's going to happen. I'm going to give you my personal five favorite country songs from 2025. As an avid country music fan, this definitely will be tough to do, but this list is based on MY personal favorites. There will be some good songs left out, but these are just based on my personal preferences. In addition, I will provide a brief background for each song.

Five 2025 country songs that should not be missed

1. "Backup Plan"-Bailey Zimmerman and Luke Combs

In May of 2025, Bailey Zimmerman recorded another song that gained him more stardom. Alongside Luke Combs, they released "Backup Plan." The backstory of this song is about chasing your dreams while staying focused and not letting others bring down your aspirations.

2. "Choosin' Texas"-Ella Langley

Even though this song was released back in October of this year, it has been gaining more and more attention recently. "Choosin' Texas" by Ella Langley is the next song on the countdown. Along with Ella's amazing voice, the beat and lyrics just keep you bouncing your head and singing along. The background for this banger is about a lover who left his current relationship for someone else in Texas.

3. "Worst Way"-Riley Green

Yeah, I couldn't leave this one off the list. "Worst Way" from Riley Green is about a lover who doesn't just want to have dinner with her tonight but also engage in making love right when he walks through the door. Green released the song in March of 2024, but it was introduced to country music in February of this year.

4. "Back in the Saddle"-Luke Combs

Another song that includes Luke Combs is "Back in the Saddle." This song was released in July of this year, was Luke's "I'm back" song after he took a hiatus that lasted over a year, and it represents him as getting back into making music after some time off.

5. "Bar None"-Jordan Davis

My final song that I loved from 2025 is "Bar None" by Jordan Davis. For this tune, it's about a man coping with his emotional pain by going to a bar and drinking. In my opinion, Jordan is one of the most underrated country music stars out there, and whenever this song comes on, I always turn up the volume.
