If you tuned into Netflix to watch your favorite NFL team play on Christmas Day, you might have noticed the streamer did a good job of showing the games. You also likely were not entertained by the games themselves. Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs blew out the Pittsburgh Steelers while Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens destroyed the Houston Texans.
How much did that last bit bother Beyoncé? Who knows? She was raised in Houston, but the Texans were not around when she was young. Maybe she is a Tennessee Titans fan since they moved from Houston when Queen Bey was a, well...beybey. But let's digress.
You might be much more of a Beyoncé fan than an NFL fan and the reason you chose to watch Netflix after opening your Christmas gifts was to watch the Queen work her magic at halftime of the Ravens-Texans game. If that is what you did then good for you. You saw the best part of Netflix's Christmas Day coverage. Beyoncé did Beyoncé things and made everyone's life better.
Beyoncé delivers a Christmas miracle for music lovers and NFL fans
She played songs from her 2024 country album, Cowboy Carter, for the first time in front of a live audience in her native Houston. She also seemingly got about 6,000 people on the field with her to shake their booties and sing along. This included Beyoncé's daughter, Blue Ivy. Those people included some very special guests.
Post Malone came out to help Queen Bey perform "Levii's Jeans." Shaboozey took part in a medley and sang both his parts from "Riverdance" and "Sweet Honey Buckiin." Still, there was no stealing the spotlight from the star of the halftime show. Beyoncé was simply entertaining in a way that few others ever could.
She even rode in on a horse to begin the show while performing "16 Carriages" before breaking into her cover of the Beatles' "Blackbird." In the end, she was raised into the sky and told the crowd, "Merry Christmas, god bless y'all."
Beyoncé was not done giving fans a thrill, though. On social media, Queen Bey posted a clip of her waving an American flag while riding a white horse and then a caption that read "1.14.25." What does that mean? No one can be quite sure, but the guess is that the date is tour-related.
