What a time it is to be living your life as Billy Idol. He could have been caught in the 1980s, a raised lip forever etched into an MTV-watcher's memory, and many great tunes to keep humming. But after being forgotten by many past the 1990s, he's somewhat back.

A new documentary dropped about him on Hulu in March (finally!) called Billy Idol Should Be Dead, and it is worth every second. Heck, it might even be worth the price of a subscription to Hulu, if for some reason you don't already have it.

Besides the new documentary, however, Idol is nominated as part of the potential 2026 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame class. He's been given a nod before, but hasn't gotten in. He should, though. While he might have left true punk far behind, his influence, through his epic videos, helped shape the 1980s.

Billy Idol drops 17 new tour dates for 2026

He might only sporadically release albums now, but he hasn't ever fully stopped touring. The good news is that after previously announcing some shows in Las Vegas that will go on from August 28 through September 10, the punk-pop icon has announced 17 new dates that will take him around the United States.

Tickets for the run of gigs, which begin in August after two dates in mid-July that were previously announced, will kick off with a VIP pre-sale on Wednesday, April 8, at 2 pm local time. General public tickets will start on Friday, April 10, at 12 pm local time. For more information, one can visit Billy Idol's official website.
