Céline Dion is ready to pull her Elvis and make a comeback. After years of not being physically able to perform, the pop icon has announced a run of dates in Paris for later in 2026. The concerts will begin in mid-September and continue through mid-October.
As most fans likely know, Dion hasn't been able to perform to the masses for more than one show as she was diagnosed with stiff person syndrome in 2022. SPS is an autoimmune neurological disorder that doesn't allow a person to be able to move certain parts of their bodies for an extended period of time, and causes immense pain.
In a social media post announcing the Paris shows, Dion said, "I'm so ready to do this. I'm feeling good, I'm strong, I'm feeling excited, obviously, of course, a little nervous." She also said she has been "managing" her health, and she was singing again and even doing "a little" dancing.
Céline Dion is returning to performing with a run of shows in Paris in the fall of 2026
The last time the Canadian performed was at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics. She unfortunately had to cancel an appearance for the Eurovision Song Contest in 2025 after having a medical scare. What isn't known is whether that was related to SPS.
