If you like your stoner-metal with high-end talent, then Corrosion of Conformity is probably already one of your favorite bands. They should be. Metal can be nuanced, too, of course, and CoC provides that.
The Raleigh, North Carolina, group began as hardcore punks, and one can still hear a twinge of that genre in the band's current music, but one has to imagine it really slowed down. CoC is more Electric Wizard than Bad Brains currently, not that there is anything wrong with that.
Many of the venues the band is playing are more intimate, which fits with the mood of the music quite a bit. Is it loud? Of course, it's still metal, but moody and brilliant.
Corrosion of Conformity announce new dates for expansive 2026 tour
Corrosion of Conformity had previously announced a bunch of 2026 dates, set to start in early April in Atlanta, and running through the end of May. The newly announced dates will all be held in July. The band will be supported by Whores and Crobot, though which band plays with CoC on which date may vary.
