No one and nothing can stop Ed Sheeran, not even the National Football League. The highest-revenue sports league on Earth is powerless when it comes to the pop star, it seems. This is proven by the fact that the NFL had to arrange its schedule around Sheeran's concert schedule.
The singer will be performing at seven NFL stadiums on Saturdays in the fall. These won't be moved, which means when the league was creating its 2026 schedule, which should be released in May, it had to first check when and where Sheeran would be. That's real power by the pop icon.
Of course, the NFL could still hold games on the Sundays following Sheeran's dates, as the people breaking down the stage for the performer could simply work well into the night, but it would be cutting it close.
Ed Sheeran has a bit of control over the 2026 NFL schedule
That means the following teams could have the schedules somewhat affected by one of the more popular musicians in the world: The Philadelphia Eagles, New England Patriots, Atlanta Falcons, Indianapolis Colts, Carolina Panthers, Dallas Cowboys, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
If you are a fan of those teams, but not of Ed Sheeran, you could send a nasty letter complaining about how the schedule was moved around to cater to the singer. No one might read the letter, however. Those people might be in the midst of planning what they are going to wear to see Sheeran.
