The 68th Annual Grammy Awards are coming up on February 1st, and many great artists have been nominated. But one artist you won't see winning any awards this time around, despite her having a very popular new album released in 2025, is Taylor Swift.
Taylor released her record-breaking new album, The Life of a Showgirl, on October 3, 2025, to great reviews, and it has been playing on repeat across streaming services and social media ever since.
Among other accolades, The Life of a Showgirl sold 3.48 million copies in the first week, and every single song on the album charted in the top 12 songs of the Billboard Hot 100 list.

But why isn’t Taylor nominated for any Grammys this year? Well, the eligibility dates for the 68th Grammys are between August 31, 2024, and August 30th, 2025. Since The Life of a Showgirl wasn’t released during those days, it is ineligible for this year’s Grammys. But the good news is that it will be eligible for the 2027 Grammys!
In addition to the new album, 2025 was a full year for Taylor. She was nominated for six Grammys at the 27th Grammys and was even a Grammys presenter, announced her engagement to football player Travis Kelce, and released the Taylor Swift: The End of an Era tour documentary.
Whether Taylor will be appearing at the Grammys this year as a presenter, performer, or at all is still just speculation. But, fans are hoping she will be in attendance in any capacity. While she may not be winning a Grammy this year, there is no doubt that Taylor Swift has an extensive and impressive list of nominations and wins already under her belt.
Taylor Swift has had a total of 58 Grammy nominations and 14 Grammy wins. She has won seven Grammy Awards for four of her albums: Fearless (won two Grammys), 1989 (won two Grammys), Folklore, and Midnights (won two Grammys). Taylor has also won Grammys for her songs, performances, and music videos.
While Speak Now didn’t win its album nomination in 2012, Taylor did win two Grammys for her song “Mean” that year. She has also won Grammys for her songs “White Horse” (Fearless), "Bad Blood" (1989), and “Safe & Sound” (The Hunger Games soundtrack).
Taylor Swift has also won two Grammys related to her music video releases. The first one was for the “Bad Blood” music video in 2016, and the second was for All Too Well: The Short Film, the film adaptation of her song "All Too Well" in 2023.
